Welcome to a little behind-the-scenes look at our everyday life! Alongside creating handmade treasures and running our shop, we’re also a homeschooling—and often “travel-schooling”—family. Homeschooling was a choice I made to keep learning as flexible and adventurous as possible, allowing us to weave curiosity and creativity into our days together.
When we started this journey, I wanted our days to go beyond academics; I envisioned a lifestyle that was all about exploring, creating, and connecting. Our learning flows naturally through a mix of interests, whether we’re reading aloud (currently diving into historical fiction), studying nutrition, or preparing for our next backpacking trip. When we’re not learning at home, we’re often out for Aurora’s favorite activities—taekwondo, aikido, karate, ceramics, art, swimming, and hula—bringing movement and fun into each week.

Homeschooling gives us the flexibility to shape our days around what feels right. Some days, we dive fully into creative projects, designing new pieces for our shop and letting Aurora’s bold imagination lead the way. Other days, we recharge with a quiet journal session, a good book, or an adventure outside. This blend of learning and exploration keeps us inspired, grateful, and connected on our journey.
Homeschooling and travel-schooling have brought us closer and allowed us to connect in unique ways as a mother-daughter team. It’s not always easy, but we wouldn’t trade it. It’s a blend of structure and spontaneity, where our love of learning and creativity come together.
Thanks for letting us share a little piece of our life with you! If you’re curious about homeschooling, travel, or want to know more about our day-to-day, we’d love to connect. Our journey is a work in progress, just like the handmade pieces we create—and we’re so grateful to have you here with us.
